Broadstock wins Coventry contract

Coventry University chooses North West's Broadstock for contract worth a potential £5m

Broadstock, one of the UK’s most respected FF&E suppliers, has won a prestigious single source contract with Coventry University in a five-way tender process.

Established more than 35 years ago, Broadstock has its own manufacturing operation based in the North West; its Group Sales Director, Jon Stoney, announced that the firm would be working with Coventry University for a potential four years.

The contract covers the main campus in Coventry, the university’s London site (including London College) and its satellite campus in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.

Stoney said: “We’re delighted to be working with Coventry University, particularly as the feedback we received indicated that we were successful not just because of our competitive pricing, but also because of the extensive services we offer.

“The contract will involve a combination of Broadstock’s services, including design consultation, budget analysis, product suggestions and full delivery and installation services. We will also provide certain specific, dedicated resources, including an account manager, an internal designer and an internal sales person.”

In addition, Broadstock will carry out in-depth pre-design research with students and Academics, establishing what they expect, what they want and what they need to maximise the quality of their learning and teaching experiences. This work is complemented by post occupancy analysis to ensure lessons are learnt, to bring forward to the next project.

“Our university clients find this aspect of our services incredibly useful,” said Jon, “because we are able to inform them definitively as to their students’ preferences, and this research in turn plays a pivotal role in the universities’ student satisfaction ratings.”

This win is testament to the talent and experience of our account management team and in-house design team - Jon Stoney, Broadstock Group Sales Director

Jon added: “This win is testament to the talent and experience of our account management team and in-house design team, utilising our extensive product portfolio and delivery and installation service. We look forward to a long and rewarding relationship with Coventry University.”
