Manor Property Group appoints new Education Director

Gary Warke MBE says that he is excited to be joining the Board during the implementation of the Technical and Further Education Act

Yorkshire-based Manor Property Group has announced the appointment of Gary Warke MBE as Group Education Director.

Gary has over 20 years’ experience in the Education sector, holding various senior positions in FE Colleges, as well as Directorships on a number of regional and national boards, including the Quality Assurance Agency, the Humber LEP and the Collab Group, a body representing the largest colleges in the UK. Principally, Gary will lead Manor’s emerging education portfolio.

Mr Warke commented: “I am excited to join the Board at such a pertinent time as the Group supports the implementation of the Technical and Further Education Act, creating innovative Career Hubs across the country and ensuring all our young people have full access to impartial advice and guidance on the best routes to support their career choices”.

Chairman of the Manor Property Group, Duncan Gilmour, who has 40 years’ experience in finance but also served as Chair of Governors at an Ofsted rated “outstanding” school, said: “We welcome Gary Warke MBE to the Board of Manor Property Group as Group Education Director. He brings valued expertise to the Group and a new focus to Manor’s Further Education projects, at a time when the Group looks to drive the Educational Division forward. His input into our Qdos Sixth form Academies and Career Hubs will be hugely significant to the delivery of leading edge projects for the benefit of students throughout the UK.”

Manor Property Group, which is 100% privately owned, has been in business for 35 years and has a nationwide development portfolio valued in excess of £850 million.
