Acton academy moves to phase two

A West London primary academy has received planning consent for the second phase of its refurbishment and new-build programme

Hammersmith and Fulham Council has approved the revised planning submission for ARK Conway Primary Academy made by Hunters South Architects. The one-form entry primary school opened in the refurbished grade II-listed Wormholt Library building in Acton in September 2011 and gone on to become the highest-performing primary in the country at key stage one.

With planning approval granted, construction of phase two of the project will begin in the summer, with completion due in September 2016. Previous phases have refurbished the grade II- listed library, which faces onto the A40, and the new phase will complete the scheme with new-build accommodation.
