IKO PLC has released a new Roofing and Waterproofing Guide for schools and academies. Aimed at head teachers, facilities managers and local education departments, it highlights the tell-tale signs of a failing roof and includes guidelines on independent advice, design, installation, inspection and guarantees. Information on funding is also covered.
Ashley Chivers, Director of IKO’s Specification Division, explains: “Maintaining and improving roofs to ensure they are waterproof, energy efficient and secure helps protect one of a school’s most valuable assets – its buildings.
