Karndean Designflooring introduces Looselay Series Three

Karndean Designflooring is expanding its collection of wood designs as part of its Karndean LooseLay Series Three launch

The UK’s market leader in luxury vinyl flooring has unveiled the stylish new hues of Karndean Looselay Series Three which taps into the trends for popular oak tones, fashionable rustics and deep greys in educational spaces.

The launch acknowledges the difficulty faced by designers in ensuring that schools create a striking first impression while also adhering to the acoustic and environmental regulations required.

Popular for its unique designs and easy-fit approach, LooseLay is an innovative format of luxury vinyl flooring boasting enhanced acoustic properties and excellent environmental credentials. Warmer and softer underfoot, Karndean’s LooseLay is ideal for use in busy classrooms and corridors.

Inspired by nature, the collection’s six new woods range from the light blonde hues of Cambridge LLP113 to the striking, warm ginger tones of Burlington LLP110.

Offering superior fitting times, Karndean LooseLay’s unique friction grip backing and increased dimensional stability secures the floor firmly in place. It can be installed over most hard floors using a tackifier as long as the floors are dry, smooth, clean and dust-free.

The collection’s large scale (41.3” x 9.85”) planks and (19.7” x 24”) tiles combined with the fact that it’s quick and easy to fit, means reduced downtime and reduced installation costs – perfect for busy school and college environments.

“Since the launch of Karndean LooseLay, we’ve seen a real appetite for our quick-to-install, stylish LVT designs amongst contractors, architects and interior designers specifying large areas in colleges, schools and universities,” commented Paul Barratt, managing director of Karndean Designflooring.

He continued: “This collection is proving a highly durable and attractive option in classrooms, hallways, receptions and communal areas where carpet tiles or laminate would have previously been specified for access to under floor services.

“Importantly, in the rare situation that a plank or tile is damaged, a new piece can be easily dropped into place.”

Durable, easy to maintain and with a 12-year commercial guarantee, Karndean LooseLay is ideal for heavy footfall areas.

The collection will now feature 19 wood designs and eight stone tiles.
