Crosslane Student Developments celebrated the topping out of its Sycamore House development in Leeds on 24 May. The scheme will have an expected gross development value of approximately £15 million upon practical completion.
The site is located in a residential area to the north west of Leeds city centre. Prime Student Living, the student accommodation lettings and operational management arm of Crosslane, is responsible for booking reservations during the construction phase, and will continue to manage the building following completion.
Bookings at the new-build have surpassed expectations, with over 90% of rooms already let.
The development comprises five stories of residential accommodation containing 117 luxury ensuite, self-contained studio apartments, ranging from 20sqm to 38sqm. The exterior has been designed to complement the surrounding Georgian style properties within the conservation area of Woodhouse Square, with bedrooms surrounding a central private courtyard.
Robert Goulsbra, Development Manager, Crosslane Student Developments, said: “We are pleased to be on track and on budget for Sycamore House, our first development in the exciting and vibrant city of Leeds. Crosslane continues to explore other sites in the city to develop purpose-built student accommodation, helping to meet the growing demand for this type of student housing in Leeds.”
