A new development at Priors Hall Park in Corby comprises a two-form entry primary school, nursery and community centre for new families in the area.

The primary school and nursery are an important addition to the existing amenities of Priors Hall Park, and accommodate up to 420 children. Operated by Woodnewton Academy Trust, the scheme provides modern, flexible and inspiring learning spaces, both internally and externally, to enhance pupils’ play and educational experience.

The Priors Hall Park project team

Bob Tattar, Priors Hall Park’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “The investment in resource and capital by Priors Hall Park, to create this school and community centre, has been enormous and thanks to the commitment of the build partner, Watson & Cox [as well as project managers GSS], it is being delivered to the agreed timescale; to start serving local children and residents in September this year.”

Sue Martin, Project Manager at Woodnewton, said: “We are very excited, as Woodnewton Academy Trust, to be occupying this amazing building, creating a great learning community and providing the very best that we can for our children; that is our main aim but we also have the community at heart. We look forward to working with all of those associated with the building, and that is our own members of staff and the residents of Priors Hall Park.”

Priors Hall Park is one of the UK’s largest residential building projects. Set in 1,000 acres of Northamptonshire parkland; the vision includes over 5,000 new homes with local amenities such as schools, play areas and open space, makes it a place to live rather than simply a housing estate.
