The Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) recently announced their 2016 Built Environment Award categories and criteria. Entrants have under one month to complete their Award Submissions. The closing date for entries is 30th June.
Award categories
1. New Build Award – Awarded to an organisation, individual or project, who in the opinion of the Awards Panel, has produced a leading edge, innovative and exemplary new build project.
2. Maintenance Award – Awarded in recognition of an exemplary project in respect of the ongoing building maintenance and management of an existing building.
3. Fire Safety Award – Awarded in recognition of an organisation, individual or project that, through invention, research design, publicity, education, training or any other related activity, has made a significant contribution to the advancement of fire safety, fire protection or fire engineering.
4. Sustainability Award – Awarded in recognition of an organisation, individual or project that, through invention, research design, publicity, education, training or any other related activity, has made a significant contribution to sustainability in the construction sector.
5. Preservation Award – Awarded in recognition of an exemplary project in respect of preservation/conservation of the built environment.
