Reaching the peak of its structural phase of construction, the new eight-storey £81m luxury development is the centrepiece to the University of Salford’s wider development plan for the area.

Due to open in September, the state-of-the-art building features the ultimate in luxury student accommodation. Comprising 1,367 student beds, each student will be able to look forward to a host of incredible features all designed to enhance their student experience.

Working alongside the university, the facilities have been specifically designed to create a unique environment for students to live, learn and grow. Communal social spaces play host to pool tables and other games facilities, while lounges feature SkyTV and the latest games consoles to help students unwind and relax after a hard day studying. An on-site cinema also allows students to enjoy the latest blockbuster movie with friends, from the comfort of their own home.

Health and wellbeing is also high on the agenda with an on-site gym and basketball court nearby, while joint designed kitchens have been created to help develop healthy eating and culinary skills, while strengthening social relationships. Students can also get their cultural fix with gallery space in the reception area.

Other amenities at the campus include professional meeting spaces, fully equipped with the latest AV facilities. These spaces will allow the students to develop confidence within a professional setting, and a particular set of life skills that are vital when entering the world of work.

Finished to an exceptionally high standard, each en-suite bedroom features floor to ceiling windows allowing students to fully appreciate picturesque views of the historic Peel Park, situated adjacent to the property. Every aspect of student living has been considered in the design of the rooms, which feature cleverly hidden storage solutions and access to free 50mb wi-fi.

The new £81m development is being built and managed with the University of Salford and Salford Village Limited, a consortium made up of Campus Living Villages, construction firm GRAHAM Construction and investors Equitix and Kier Project Investment.

Campus Living Villages is the incumbent provider of student accommodation at the University of Salford and has been operating residences John Lester, Eddie Colman and Bramall Court since 2008. The accommodation had been designed to provide sustainable student living with a BREEAM Excellent rating.

Sean McKeown, Commercial Director at Campus Living Villages said: “The new Peel Park Quarter campus marks an important stage in the University of Salford’s development plan and further strengthens Campus Living Villages’ commitment to delivering global leading accommodation with university partners. As a global provider we have a highly experienced team that understands how to deliver the best in student residences to a highly international market, and we look forward to further developments with the University of Salford, further enhancing the student experience for our customers.”
